A beautiful and unique event to help raise funds for our library. Here is a snippet from the Pagosa Sun, "The centerpiece of the event will feature beautiful table settings based on book themes. The contents of the tables will be auctioned to the highest bidders. The five tables with the highest online votes will go into an exciting live auction. The book themes range from delightful children’s stories such as “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory” by Roald Dahl to elegant classics such as “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald. “The creativity of our decorators is absolutely stunning,” said Jann Pitcher, event coordinator. “We have some of our community’s most experienced and artistic celebrity designers on hand to decorate these amazing tables.” The gala event will include delicious delights provided by Todd Stevens and the Pagosa Springs High School culinary class as well as beautiful acoustic guitar music provided by Steve Blechschmidt. A cash wine and beer bar also will be available to toast the evening, along with an original signature cocktail called “Ruby’s Affair.”
